It’s no fluke that DJ Risk One currently holds 4 residences dj’ing in 4 different cities across the country. His dance floor arsenal spans from remixes of classic hip hop party joints, bass heavy house and world beat funk; plus everything in-between and outside of these party genres. Simply put, Risk One can do it all. Chances are good that this is the reason why he is the go to dj for Playboy, LRG Clothing, GQ, Microsoft and most NBA events. PDX is incredibly lucky to be having DJ Risk One, who will be rocking the ninth installment of the monthly fashion show and dance party benefit known as ‘Massive’ on July 25th at The Crown Room. DJ Risk One is currently destroying dance floors from sea to shining sea and will be coming to Portland after touring the Caribbean Isles to promote his latest mix – Sirens! – which will be available for free at Massive.

Local Portland music makers and creators, Dr. Adam (Hot Mess/Snap/Townbombing/Eleqtrique) and John-Henry (W+K Radio/Demdranger Music/Aubergine 3/Woodgrain Music) will join DJ Risk One in what will surely be a night of debaucherous fun, fashion, free food and dance entertainment.

Massive 9 will also feature a fashion show, hosted by local larger than life personality and massive MVP Mr. Ronin Roc, highlighting 8 local boutiques and designers (video of previous fashion show below), including Lux Jewlery, Sarac Accessories, EZ Wear, Giuce, Capital, Lizard Lounge, Heart on My Sleeve and Monster Vintage.

Massive 9 is also happy to host a live painting session by local legendary street artist Rasko, who will be creating a backdrop piece for the fashion show. Rasko’s work can currently be seen in the Breezeblock Gallery, The Office and Upper Playground.

Benefits from the event will be donated to the Oregon Food Bank.
