Diddy on IT tough with Entrepreneurship

As of now, like most, I am past being surprised when I hear about Diddy dipping his hands into a new revenue stream. Bad Boy Records, Sean Jean, executive producer of music and tv shows, cologne mogul; the list goes on and on. Did I mention that he is starring in a new movie, “Get Him to the Greek”, scheduled to come out June 4th. The cast is the chubby dude from Superbad and the lanky English, who was busted as host of the MTV Video Music Awards. At the same time, Diddy is out marketing his latest baby, Monster’s  “Diddy Beats” headphones. Monster LCC is the same creator of the highly marketed “Beats by Dre” with hip hop executive producer and recording artist Dr. Dre.

Back in 2007, Diddy got bottles popping by starting  a potentially lucrative project with Diageo plc and its Ciroc Vodka brand. The difference between this deal and the usual celebrity endorsement of a product is that Sean Combs will take part in the marketing and development of the Ciroc brand of vodka for a 50% share of the brand’s earnings. This is estimated to be worth around $100,000,000 to Combs and his company Sean Puff Daddy Enterprises, during the life of the contract. The final figure, of course, depends on how well the Ciroc brand performs.

With Diddy being an Interscope artist now with Jim Iovine, word is one of the big reasons Diddy was so excited to sign with Mr. Iovine and Interscope is because he was promised some of that “Beats by Dre” headphones action. Well apparently Iovine kept his word as Diddy has released his new headphones to the people.

In the stock market, a broker and/or account managers tell you diversify your portfolio, put your eggs in different baskets and keep pushing until the baskets get filled. Diddy has the same ideology, grinding as if he is on an empty stomach. I can fuck with it. Love him or hate him but he is on a mission to take over the world.
